Mangalore, Sep 29: The K J Shetty Kadandale annual award, jointly instituted by Yugapurusha and Vijaya Artistes, has been bagged by Steevan Rego, sub-editor of the Mangalore edition of Vijaya Karnataka.
The award is being given in appreciation of his well-researched writeup 'Malligeya KaTu Vaasane, Tragedy Ooru Shankerpura' ('The pungent smell of jasmine and tragedy town of Shankerpura'), published in the newspaper he works for.
