Mangalore, March 21, 2012: Steven Rego, the sub editor Kannada Daily Vijaya Karnataka (Mangalore Edition), was chosen for PaGo Award for the year 2011 for his article ‘Nandini Mayavaguva Munna’ published in October 31, 2011 in Vijaya Karnataka.
Rego chiefly writes on burning social issues and focuses on human interest stories. He won the K. J. Shetty Award for his report on the deteriorating jasmine culture at Shakarapura, and his contributions to the Lavalavike supplement of Vijaya Karnataka is worth mentioning.
